PlayStation 4 Shenmue I & II Limited Edition

The legendary games return

The Dreamcast action adventures Shenmue Chapter One: Yokosuka and Shenmue II arrive together in one collection.

Compelling characters, a mysterious story and a vast world in which you can move freely: Shenmue is regarded as a pioneer of the three-dimensional open world and as a work that greatly changed gaming history. With improved image quality, control options, an optimized user interface and other refinements, it returns on PlayStation 4.

Refinements for comfortable play

The game screen's image quality has been improved, and playable scenes can be enjoyed in a sixteen-to-nine aspect ratio.

Choose between Classic and Modern control methods. Classic uses the original controls, while Modern lets you change walking control from the directional buttons to the left stick.

The user interface has been updated, trophies are supported, and a save-anywhere function has been added. As in the Dreamcast version, saved data can be carried over from Shenmue Chapter One: Yokosuka to Shenmue II.

Shenmue Chapter One: Yokosuka

The protagonist, Ryo Hazuki, is a young man born and raised in Yokosuka. From childhood he learned martial arts from his father, Iwao, a master of Hazuki-style jujitsu. Ryo grew into a somewhat brusque young man with a strong sense of justice.

One day, Ryo returns home and encounters a stranger trying to make his father reveal the whereabouts of a mirror. Iwao refuses the man's demand and is killed, despite being an accomplished martial arts master.

His father's sudden death, the mystery of the mirror, and the identity of the man: Ryo sets out to uncover every mystery.

Shenmue II

Ryo Hazuki learns that the mysterious man who killed his father has gone to Hong Kong. Carrying another mirror that his late father had kept hidden, Ryo arrives in a foreign land.

He begins to wander the seaside town of Aberdeen in search of clues about the mysterious man. But he receives a harsh initiation that threatens the very future of his journey: the mirror that holds the key to solving the mystery is stolen.

Can Ryo recover the mirror? And where is the mysterious man?
