The bond between Sonic and you will save the world

A completely new entry in the series, which has recorded cumulative worldwide sales of 350 million copies, finally arrives on the then-latest consoles, including PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

An all-star cast of Sonic characters appears on both the enemy and allied sides in an intensely exciting, serious story.

Race through a detailed Sonic world created with the new HEDGEHOG ENGINE 2 in exhilarating high-speed action at the speed of sound.

Enjoy three evolved styles of high-speed action

Following Sonic Generations and Sonic Lost World, the completely new Sonic Team game fans have been waiting for finally arrives.

The series’ exceptionally exhilarating action has evolved into three styles of high-speed action: Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic and the Avatar, a character you customise yourself.

The game uses the new HEDGEHOG ENGINE 2 for a deeply satisfying playing experience.

A serious, fully developed story with an all-star Sonic cast

Facing the Eggman army, which controls 99% of the world, are Sonic’s friends: the Resistance!

His partner Tails, battalion commander Knuckles and companions including Silver, Vector and Espio all come together.

Opposing them in Eggman’s army are powerful foes including the mysterious Infinite, Shadow, Metal Sonic and Chaos.

A serious, grand story unfolds in the tradition of Sonic Adventure.

Character customisation for the first time in the series

The Avatar makes its series debut, allowing you to create your own unique character from hundreds of millions of combinations.

Create your in-game counterpart and fulfil the dream of fighting alongside Sonic and his companions.

The Avatar can equip seven types of Wispon weapons. Use their weapon actions to explore stages and enjoy a style of high-speed action that differs from Sonic’s.
