The ultimate 2D Sonic: nostalgic and new

This entry in the classic 2D Sonic series follows Sonic Mania's original download-only release in August 2017.

Its nostalgic pixel-art visuals and completely renewed gameplay won acclaim around the world, with sales exceeding one million copies at the time of this physical edition's announcement.

This packaged edition adds numerous elements, including new characters and modes. The original release announcement advertised an included soundtrack and artbook at a package price of 4,490 yen before tax.

Race through beautiful pixel-art stages

Selected stages from the series' Mega Drive origins return with renewed mechanisms: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic the Hedgehog CD.

Completely new stages exclusive to this game also appear. Use the distinct actions of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles to enjoy 2D side-scrolling action that is both nostalgic and entirely new.

Mighty and Ray join the adventure

Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel return from the 1993 arcade game SegaSonic the Hedgehog.

Encore Mode features these two characters, whose actions differ from Sonic and his companions, offering different experiences of the stages and new episodes.

Many elements absent from the original download version have been added, including expanded rules for competition mode and additional presentation in the main game.

Original included bonuses

The original package includes the game, a two-disc Sonic Mania Plus Original Soundtrack with 54 tracks, and a 36-page artbook.

The substantial CD collection includes in-game music, songs by the sound unit Hyper Potions, which provided promotional music for this title, and collaboration music by Sonic series sound director Jun Senoue and Hyper Potions.

The original package also includes a Mega Drive-style reversible cover and a specially designed box.

This product is Used. The presence and completeness of the original box, soundtrack, artbook and reversible cover are not guaranteed.
