The complete edition of The House in Fata Morgana, an acclaimed independent visual novel of Western Gothic romance, suspense, horror, tragedy and despair, comes to PlayStation 4.

It includes the main story and its side-story fan disc, together with the voiced modern-day chapter, short stories, illustration gallery and other additions introduced in the PS Vita version.

A soul's journey through the tragedies of a cursed mansion

Having lost your memories, you are guided by the mansion's enigmatic maid as you uncover the mysteries of this cursed house.

The modern-day scenario added in the PS Vita version features voices by Takahiro Sakurai, Asami Seto, Ami Koshimizu, Junichi Suwabe and other accomplished actors. Only the modern-day chapter is voiced.

An independent suspense and horror novel acclaimed worldwide

The original was an all-ages PC visual novel released by the independent circle Novectacle.

Since release, it has expanded into drama CDs, comics and novelizations, as well as ports for Nintendo 3DS, smartphones and PS Vita.

Volunteer translations into languages including English, Chinese and French have also helped it gain popularity worldwide.

A strengthened complete edition

This product is the Japanese localization of the North American PlayStation 4 edition released in late May 2019.

Alongside the PC main story and side story, it contains the modern-day chapter. The PlayStation 4 version also remakes backgrounds and selected still illustrations and enhances the interface's presentation.

Main story

You find yourself in an old mansion.

Before you stands a maid with jade-colored eyes, who addresses you affectionately as her master.

But you have no memories and do not know who you are.

You do not even know whether you are alive.

The maid offers to show you the many tragedies that occurred in the mansion. There may be traces of you within them. You witness four tragedies that cross time and place.

Whether you end them as mere stories or seek what lies beyond is up to you.

Yet someone, somewhere, will say:

“You could endure it because it was someone else's tragedy.”

Side story

On that day, a girl was about to be executed by a lord.

She had an unusual upbringing.

In the village where she was born, she was revered as a saint and said to possess miraculous powers.

But the words the lord shouted as he raised his sword were the exact opposite.

“A witch wearing the guise of a saint!”

The girl, however, was saved by a young man.

This was the beginning of her happiness.

And, at the same time, the opening of a long, long tragedy spanning a thousand years.

Modern-day chapter

We have memories of the past. They are not merely ten or twenty years from our youth—

They are memories of past lives.

Memories of living in the Middle Ages, when a cursed mansion once existed. And more than that: memories of watching over many different eras as souls.
