Learn authentic shogi with Ai and her friends
An adventure game in which you can learn authentic shogi with Ai and the other characters.
The game progresses through three parts: Adventure, Shogi and Quiz.
Adventure
The adventure unfolds through two kinds of scenarios: the original story, which follows the anime's events in game form, and new scenarios focusing on the characters' charm and comedy.
The original story is based on the anime's scenario, centring on Yaichi Kuzuryu and Ai Hinatsuru.
There are 12 new scenarios. All scenarios were supervised by the original author, Shiro Shiratori, who also wrote two of the new scenarios himself.
Shogi
The Shogi part lets you play matches against characters from The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done!
It uses the thinking AI developed by Silver Star Japan. Matches are against the CPU only.
Quiz
Three quiz categories are included: shogi knowledge, The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done! knowledge, and shogi checkmate problems with mate in one move.
Ten questions are selected at random from these three categories. Answer every question correctly to unlock a reward CG illustration.
The original story
When he opened the front door, an elementary-school girl was standing there...
“I've come to become your apprentice, just as you promised!”
Yaichi Kuzuryu became the holder of Ryuo, the shogi world's strongest title, at the age of 16. The visitor who suddenly arrived at his home was Ai Hinatsuru, a third-grade elementary-school student aged nine.
“Huh?...An apprentice? Huh?”
“...Don't you remember?”
He did not remember, but life with the elementary-school girl living in his home began nevertheless.
Through Ai's straightforward passion, Yaichi began to regain the enthusiasm he had almost lost.
Limited Edition physical contents
