Tsukihime Aniplex

A supernatural visual novel from Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON, reborn

Tsukihime is a long-form supernatural visual novel originally released by TYPE-MOON in 2000. Its story centres on Shiki Tohno, a protagonist who can see the fragile lines of objects: the “lines of death”. Since its original distribution, this story has captivated many people.

Kinoko Nasu, Takashi Takeuchi and the TYPE-MOON staff have now brought it back as Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, preserving traces of the original while introducing new forms of expression.

The origin of the ever-expanding TYPE-MOON world

Tsukihime, a long-form supernatural visual novel that can be considered the starting point of TYPE-MOON, is reborn. TYPE-MOON also creates the game app Fate/Grand Order, which had surpassed 60 million downloads worldwide in the presentation for this release.

This game was created to appeal to new fans of the TYPE-MOON world, which has become widely known around the globe through the Fate series and its adaptations across different media.

Scenario writer Kinoko Nasu himself has reconstructed Tsukihime, a work that once shocked its dedicated fans. Modern technology and beautiful visuals bring it back to life, combining an atmosphere that feels somehow nostalgic with a freshness made possible today, so that a broad audience can enjoy it now.

Two episodes reconstructed by Kinoko Nasu himself

Although the broad outline of the story is shared, the player's choices lead to branches that unfold into two different stories, each featuring a different heroine.

The remade scenarios also offer more material than the corresponding routes in the original Tsukihime.

Kinoko Nasu, the scenario writer who has captivated many players through Tsukihime, The Garden of Sinners and the Fate series, which continues to develop across a wide range of media, has woven these stories anew, bringing them back into the present in a new form.

Beautiful visuals and innovative presentation

The visuals have been entirely renewed from the previous work, offering an experience designed to satisfy both people discovering the game for the first time and fans of the original. The game also achieves a richness of imagery rarely seen in a visual novel.

Presentation that skilfully uses a variety of image assets enhances tense battle scenes as well as everyday moments. Movements that sometimes evoke animation further deepen the player's immersion in the text.
