PlayStation 4 Umineko When They Cry Saku: Symphony of the Catbox and Dreams

Without love, the final answer cannot be seen

A mass murder takes place in a mansion on an isolated island.

October 4, 1986. On that day, the “sacrifices” were gathered on the island.

The island is Rokkenjima, an island about ten kilometres long in the Izu island chain. Its owner is Kinzo Ushiromiya, an enormously wealthy man with a vast fortune.

Kinzo's children and their families have come for a family conference concerning the division of his assets. The others are there in their roles serving the Ushiromiya family.

Eighteen people have gathered in all.

And so, preparations for the banquet are complete.

The typhoon arriving at that moment turns the island into a prison surrounded by the open sea. A means of escape? There could not possibly be one.

This is a closed circle prepared for tragedy: a slaughterhouse in which a witch toys with the pitiful victims.

The eighteen people have nowhere to run. They can only lose their lives like flowers tossed about by the storm.

Is deduction possible—or impossible?

Who will receive Kinzo's enormous inheritance?

Where are the ten tonnes of gold that Kinzo is said to have hidden? Can you solve the mystery of the eerie epitaph said to reveal their location?

How many people will die? How many will survive? Or will everyone die?

Is the culprit among the eighteen people—or not?

Is the culprit even a human being, or a witch?

Deny the witch and this becomes a difficult mystery. Accept the witch and it becomes a cruel fantasy.

If you wish to reason it out, then do so. Believe that an answer exists and keep searching for it.

You may resist. You may submit.

This is an eternal torture that continues until you can believe in the “witch”.
