PlayStation 4 Yakuza 0

The latest entry in the Yakuza series arrives on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

Set in enormous fictional entertainment districts, Yakuza portrays human dramas of love, compassion and betrayal, presenting a realistic modern Japan that games had previously been unable to explore. At the time of this release, the series had shipped over 6.5 million copies. Yakuza 0 brings its newest chapter to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

In Japan in 1988, amid an unprecedented economic boom, the series' most dangerous story unfolds around two young protagonists, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima. Follow the passionate drama of men struggling to survive as they are swept up in money, women, violence and desire. The game aims to deliver the series' finest quality across visuals, story, battles and activities to master, offering a richly entertaining experience.

A distinguished cast brings the drama to life

Previous Yakuza games drew attention for their casts of accomplished, popular performers. In this release, actors Hitoshi Ozawa, Riki Takeuchi and Hideo Nakano play executives of the Dojima Family, a direct subsidiary of the Tojo Clan. They appear through their voices and as 3D computer-generated characters modelled on their own faces.

Shingo Tsurumi joins the cast as Tsukasa Sagawa, patriarch of the Sagawa Family, directly affiliated with the fifth-generation Omi Alliance. Arata Iura appears as Tetsu Tachibana, the president of a real-estate company who has a prosthetic hand. This exceptional ensemble, made possible by the game's setting, enriches the men's intense drama.
