PlayStation 4 Zanki Zero: Last Beginning

Eight lives remain before humanity's extinction

Producer Yoshinori Terasawa and creative director Takayuki Sugawara, two creators who worked on the Danganronpa series, present a new dimension and a new experience: a non-stop remaining-lives survival RPG.

Story

The year is 2018. On that summer night, the world ended in a single night. On this Earth of drifting ruins, we are still alive.

Buildings, houses, utility poles, cars, traffic lights and asphalt: modern civilisation has perished and become ruins drifting across the sea.

The protagonists live on one of these ruined islands, as new ruins drift ashore one after another.

Clones

Clone humans grow and reach the end of their lives in just 13 days.

The eight protagonists of Zanki Zero, the last survivors of humanity, are all clones. Even when their vital functions cease, following the prescribed procedure lets them regenerate, or Extend, in new bodies.

Could their new clone bodies become stronger depending on the cause of death and the circumstances in which they died?

Extend TV

Extend TV is the only programme available on the old television in the garage on the island of rubble where the eight survivors live.

Its host is Mirai, an exceptionally cute herbivorous mascot, assisted by Sho Terashima.

Their role is to guide eight clones who are inexperienced at survival and restore humanity after its extinction.
