Sailor Moon Animation

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos arrives on home video, bringing together the theatrical film’s first and second parts. The Sailor Guardians’ battle for the future of the galaxy finally reaches its conclusion, and you can enjoy the film at home.

The film depicts the Shadow Galactica arc, the series’ final chapter. A new enemy, Shadow Galactica, seeks to destroy everything and rule the universe. As her friends are targeted one after another, Sailor Moon throws herself into battle once again. Though loneliness threatens to overwhelm her, she lifts her head and keeps moving forward. Can she protect the people she loves? What awaits beyond the fighting? The final story of the strong and beautiful Sailor Guardians begins as they face their enemies while struggling with the missions placed upon them.

In the first part, Usagi Tsukino’s boyfriend Mamoru Chiba suddenly disappears at an unknown enemy’s hands. Unable to accept what has happened, Usagi encounters new enemies calling themselves the Sailor Animamates, as well as a mysterious trio, the Sailor Starlights. Repeated attacks cause her fellow Sailor Guardians to vanish one by one. Their enemy is the Shadow Galactica empire led by Sailor Galaxia. Usagi shakes off her grief and resolves to fight.

In the second part, Usagi sets out for Sailor Galaxia’s stronghold at the centre of the galaxy with help from the Sailor Starlights and Princess Kakyuu. Eternal Sailor Moon presses towards the enemy base, overcoming ruthless traps and losing companions along the way. Sailor Galaxia, who plans to rule the entire galaxy, waits for her so she can obtain the Silver Moon Crystal and its infinite regenerative power.

Audio commentaries accompany both parts. The first features Marina Inoue, Saori Hayami and Ayane Sakura. The second features Kotono Mitsuishi, Kenji Nojima, Misato Fukuen and Tomoya Takahashi.
