Video System Arcade Sound Digital Collection Vol. 2 gathers the sounds of Rabio Lepus and Turbo Force, two roots of the company's shooting games.
In 1987's Rabio Lepus, royal combat machine USAGI sets out to rescue Bunnyland's king and princesses from aliens. Cute rabbit-inspired machines and characters face hard-science-fiction enemies in a distinctive sideways-scrolling clash of fairy tale and science fiction.
In 1991's Turbo Force, an air-force pilot and his car slip through time to an invaded near-future world. A modern sports car becomes an armed flying machine in this unusual vertical shooter.
Both games remained memorable to Video System fans, even making guest appearances in the later Sonic Wings series. Their nostalgic music is presented in high-quality digital recordings, with 40 tracks planned.
