Re:BOX 2nd returns to the world of Re:Zero through Shinichiro Otsuka's illustrations. An interview with the artist accompanies early character-design sketches, the development of finished designs and drafts for the first novel's cover.

The collection revisits novel illustrations from the fourth story arc, along with package artwork created for the first television season and the first two OVAs. Illustrations from the short-story collections and Ex series appear with other specially commissioned artwork. Otsuka also provides a newly drawn cover.

This Japanese-language Kadokawa set pairs the 196-page artbook with a 320-page novel volume in a box illustrated by Otsuka. The novel gathers short stories previously uncollected in the main novels and includes a newly written short piece by Tappei Nagatsuki.
