The box was announced to help fans enjoy the third season, which began broadcasting in October 2024, even more. Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World is a landmark in other-world fantasy. Subaru Natsuki is suddenly summoned to another world on his way home from a convenience store. With nothing to rely on in this unfamiliar place, the powerless boy receives just one ability: Return by Death, which rewinds time when he dies. Through repeated deaths he overcomes painful partings, but the reunion with the girl he loves is brief before merciless reality and unimaginable danger strike. To protect those dear to him and recover the irreplaceable time that truly existed, he again resists despair and confronts a cruel destiny. The original 2024 box announcement also introduced the forthcoming third season: its first episode, Theatrical Malice, was announced as a special equivalent to four ordinary episodes, with a two-week advance theatrical screening from August 30. That third-season material is release-era background information; this box contains only the second season.
