Revue Starlight Anime

Who is the lead in this story? Starlight is a tale from the distant past and the far future, on a distant star. Two girls who experienced the brilliance of the stage in this play exchanged their destinies. Together, we will become stars. I will be waiting on stage. They burned away ordinary pleasures and joys to fulfill their destiny. At only five years old, they placed their fate in a furnace. Dangerous, isn't it?

Eventually the two met again. One continued standing on a tragic stage; the other jumped in, was separated, and jumped in again. Rewriting both their destinies, they created a new chapter filled with brilliance. The girl whose eyes were burned and who fell from the tower is gone, as is the girl who was imprisoned. Then how does this new chapter end?

Starlight is a story with an unknown author. Where does its brilliance come from, and where does it go? And who is the lead in this story? That is what I want to see. Isn't that right, Karen Aijo, third-year student of Seisho Music Academy?

The regular edition contains the main animated film, a bonus video disc and a bonus CD featuring Butaiura no Revue, the backstage revue. The extras include approximately seventy minutes of footage bringing together all nine main cast members and approximately thirty minutes newly filmed for the Blu-ray. A set of fifty-four special illustration cards and one Weiss Schwarz promotional card are enclosed, in a three-sided box featuring new anime illustrations.

The cast features Momoyo Koyama as Karen Aijo, Suzuko Mimori as Hikari Kagura, Maho Tomita as Maya Tendo, Hinata Sato as Junna Hoshimi, Haruki Iwata as Mahiru Tsuyuzaki, Moeka Koizumi as Nana Daiba, Aina Aiba as Claudine Saijo, Teru Ikuta as Futaba Isurugi and Ayasa Ito as Kaoruko Hanayagi.
