Romeo's Blue Skies The Musical Blu-ray
ミュージカル ロミオの青い空
Romeo's Blue Skies, the television anime produced by Nippon Animation and broadcast in 1995 as the twenty-first title in Fuji Television's World Masterpiece Theater series, receives its long-awaited musical adaptation.
It has become an epic musical featuring twenty-eight songs.
In the late nineteenth century, young Romeo lives happily with his family despite their poverty in a small Swiss village near the Italian border. But a villain's plot causes the family to lose its farmland. To help support them, Romeo sells himself to a labour trader and arrives in Milan to work as a chimney sweep.
Romeo faces difficult days: the hard work of cleaning chimneys, cruel treatment from his master's family and clashes with a local gang of delinquent boys called the Wolves. Encouraged by his master's daughter Angeletta and his best friend Alfredo, he lives by helping and supporting his fellow chimney sweeps.
Together, the friends form the Black Brothers and solemnly pledge their friendship to one another.
