Run for Money: The Movie Standard Edition Blu-ray

Run for Money: The Movie Standard Edition Blu-ray turns the television survival game into a high-stakes Japanese action thriller. Created for the programme's twentieth anniversary, the film brings together members of JO1 and FANTASTICS in a contest involving 1,000 participants and an initial prize pool exceeding 100 million yen. Masaki Nishiura directs, with a screenplay by Miho Aotsuka and music by Masahiro Tokuda.

Yamato, Eijiro, Ken, Riku, Yugo and Joji were close friends and rivals on their high-school athletics team, wearing matching friendship bracelets. Their lives have since taken different paths when invitations to Mission in Tokyo reunite them. Each enters with personal ambitions, only to discover that their old bond has weakened. As the Hunters are released, an unknown force takes control of Chronos, the company running the game. Captured contestants vanish into dark shadows, and a new game master called K unleashes Wild Hunters. What began as a competition becomes a struggle for survival, with ten billion yen promised to the survivors and the friends forced to decide what matters more: money, life or one another.

The ensemble features Takumi Kawanishi, Shoya Kimata and Sukai Kinjo from JO1, alongside Sota Nakajima, Leiya Seguchi and Taiki Sato from FANTASTICS. Ken Matsudaira also appears. JO1's Believe in You serves as the theme song, while FANTASTICS contribute Break Line as the fighting theme.

The standard edition includes the 97-minute film and a NO MORE Movie Thieves collaboration video, making-of promotional videos, character videos, trailers and television commercials. The feature is presented in 1080p with Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and stereo tracks, a Japanese audio-description track and Japanese accessibility subtitles for the main film.
