Violinist Ryota Higashi and pianist Ryoma Takagi meet in Piacere, a collection of ten violin miniatures recorded at Karuizawa Ohga Hall in July 2023. Elgar's Salut d'Amour, Paganini's Cantabile and Brahms's Scherzo from the F.A.E. Sonata anchor a varied chamber program.
Wieniawski's Legende and Polonaise Brillante share the disc with Dvorak's Songs My Mother Taught Me in Fritz Kreisler's arrangement, Rachmaninov's eighteenth Paganini variation and Kreisler's Chinese Tambourine. Hideaki Hagimori's arrangements of Schumann's Traumerei and Morricone's love theme from Cinema Paradiso complete the program on SHM-CD.
