Saionji-san wa Kaji wo Shinai Blu-ray Box brings together all eleven episodes of the warm-hearted romantic comedy starring Wakana Matsumoto and SixTONES member Hokuto Matsumura. Adapted from Satoru Hiura's manga, the drama uses an unusual shared household to ask what happiness and family can mean outside familiar expectations.

Itsuki Saionji is a capable, outgoing thirty-eight-year-old app developer who works hard and refuses to spend her private life doing housework. With an app reaching five million downloads, a house of her own and her beloved dog beside her, she has finally arranged the chore-free life she wants. Her routine is disrupted when Toshinao Kusumi, an engineer returning from America, joins her company. His blunt manner, impassive expression and uncompromising criticism of her app put the two at odds almost immediately.

Asked by her boss to get to know Kusumi better, Saionji reluctantly goes to dinner with him and discovers an unexpected side to her colleague. She also learns that he is raising his four-year-old daughter Ruka alone. When father and daughter lose their home, Saionji's carefully planned independence takes another turn: the three begin living together as a pretend family. Through their awkward arrangement, two adults and a child gradually learn to understand one another and reconsider the shape of a happy home.

Matsumoto plays Saionji, Matsumura plays Kusumi and Ema Kurata plays Ruka. The supporting cast includes Kenjiro Tsuda, Kayo Noro, Mayuu Yokota, Eri Murakawa, Takashi Fujii, Mari Hamada, Takashi Tsukamoto and Kazuyuki Asano. BUMP OF CHICKEN contributes the theme song, strawberry.

The bonus disc contains the complete highlights special, behind-the-scenes footage, the recorded production press conference and special interviews with Matsumoto and Matsumura. It also features the strawberry collaboration movie, Kazuto Yokoi's cooking segment, cast wrap-up footage and television spots. A booklet accompanies the four-disc set.

The series runs approximately 512 minutes, with a further 127 minutes of supplements. The three programme Blu-rays and one bonus Blu-ray present the drama in 16:9 1080i with Japanese Linear PCM stereo sound. Japanese accessibility subtitles are provided for the main episodes only, and the discs are region-free.
