Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Artworks follows the creation of an action RPG whose heroine grows stronger by cultivating rice. Its artwork builds a world inspired by ancient Japan, combining rural landscapes and farming with battles against demons.

The collection moves from character designs, early proposals and rough sketches to prop designs, background paintings, package illustrations and storyboards for the ending. Detailed comments come from Naru, the director and game designer; Koichi, responsible for CG and planning assistance; and main artist Ryuta Murayama, connecting the finished images with the decisions behind them.
