Samurai Time Slipper sends a swordsman from the final years of the shogunate into the unfamiliar world of modern filmmaking. During a secret mission in Kyoto, Aizu samurai Shinzaemon Kosaka is caught in a flash of lightning just as he crosses blades with his opponent. He awakens at a studio making period dramas, only to discover that the government he fought to protect vanished long ago.
With his old life beyond reach, Shinzaemon turns to the one skill he still trusts: swordsmanship. Learning to work as an actor who falls to another swordsman's blade gives him a new place in a world he barely understands. Junichi Yasuda directs this Japanese comedy, starring Makiya Yamaguchi.
The 131-minute film is accompanied by deleted scenes, recorded cast appearances and the theatrical trailer.
