SEGA Archives M2 Music Memorial 2CD
SEGA Archives -M2 Music Memorial-
A decade of SEGA ports comes to life in music. Original pieces and arrangements from SEGA AGES ONLINE, the SEGA 3D Classics project and SEGA AGES are gathered in a collection created with care by the M2 sound staff who worked on these releases.
M2 developed all three series for a range of home consoles. Their sound team created music that could never be heard in the original games: affectionate homages that show the utmost respect for their sources, and themes that sound like mashups of familiar favourites. This wonderfully varied musical world is especially rewarding for anyone who has followed SEGA game music for years.
Long-requested arrangements include Replay in its MODEL1 arrangement from SEGA AGES Virtua Racing, the arcade version of HAYA-OH from 3D Space Harrier, and the special-mode music from 3D Power Drift. The elusive original Extra Version takes of three main background pieces from 3D Thunder Blade are also preserved. These recordings make their long-awaited first appearance on CD.
Look back on ten years of M2's affection for SEGA ports through this musical history.
