She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man Animation

A seasoned sage undergoes a startling transformation into a beautiful girl! A reincarnation adventure fantasy with a distinctly “I’m adorable!” attitude begins in style.

With more than 1.5 million copies in circulation, this landmark fantasy of reincarnation as a beautiful girl receives its long-awaited television anime adaptation. The hugely popular original light novel was serialised on the web-novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō and is now published by GC Novels. Its protagonist, Mira, is a dignified great sage who, through a certain turn of events, becomes a beautiful girl and adventures through the game world. Its unpredictable story and the appealing characters encountered along the journey have made it an unstoppable hit. The television anime finally began airing in January 2022!

Mira was once the great sage Dunbalf before being transformed into a girl. Mariana serves as Mira’s aide, King Solomon places his trust in Dunbalf, and Luminaria is a mage of the highest rank.

The VRMMO RPG Ark Earth Online offers limitless possibilities. Dunbalf, an imposing elderly summoner and one of the Nine Wise Men of the player-founded Kingdom of Alcait, is himself a player. One day, he notices that the world has changed. Taste and smell, which were absent from the game, have appeared, and he cannot log out. The NPCs, too, respond in remarkably human ways. These are unmistakable signs that the game has become reality.

What is more, thirty years have passed in this world. And, through a certain turn of events, Dunbalf has taken the form of a young, beautiful girl! To uncover the mysteries of this suddenly transformed world, he sets out under the name Mira, professing to be the sage’s pupil. What awaits at the end of the adventure?

This volume includes episode previews, promotional-video and commercial collections, together with the special video The Sage’s Pupil Searches for a Sage: The Update Sage Edition.
