Shikao Suga Rodou Nanka Shinaide Kogosei Dake de Ikitai Limited CD DVD
スガシカオ/労働なんかしないで 光合成だけで生きたい 初回限定盤
Three years after THE LAST and beyond the major milestone of his twentieth debut anniversary, Shikao Suga presents an album of entirely new recordings. Taking in funk, soul, rock and pop, its remarkable melodies and grooves carry songs that illuminate a new path for every listener.
His first album with a Japanese title opens with the funk number Rodou Nanka Shinaide Kogosei Dake de Ikitai. Toi Yoake is the theme for TV Tokyo's drama Yotsuba Ginko Harashima Hiromi ga Mono Mosu! - Kono Onna ni Kakero.
The range extends from the rock song Tasogare Guitar, created with the kokua members behind Progress, to Document 2019 feat. Mummy-D with its bass and rap, and Mash Potato & Hash Potato, made with members of his former funk band Shikao & The Family Sugar. Across that broad musical range, every song places singing at its heart. No previously released songs are included: the album consists entirely of newly recorded material.
