SNK Clarice Disc Game Music

A major project tracing the lineage of SNK’s arcade sound begins. Known for NEOGEO and games spanning action, shooting, sports and many other genres, SNK celebrated its fortieth brand anniversary in July 2018. Clarice Disc’s sound engineers recorded and compiled music from its many arcade games to present high-quality sound through entirely new digital recordings.

The series set out on an unprecedented run of one release a month for twenty-four months, selecting titles from SNK’s enormous game catalogue. This two-year project began in the first year of the new Reiwa era.

The first volume features rare sound sources from six early games predating MVS, the arcade NEOGEO system: ASO (1985), Bermuda Triangle (1987), Chopper I (1988), Prehistoric Isle (1989), Mechanized Attack (1989) and Beast Busters (1989). Enjoy these valuable recordings with unprecedented clarity.

The collection uses new digital recordings made directly from arcade boards, seeking to present their sound sources with the greatest possible clarity. The recordings contain the sounds present on those boards.
