SNK Arcade Sound Digital Collection Vol. 8 2CD
SNK ARCADE SOUND DIGITAL COLLECTION Vol.8
SNK’s Arcade Sound Digital Collection brings music from its extensive arcade catalogue to CD through new digital recordings. Beginning in the first year of Reiwa, the project set out to select games from SNK’s enormous catalogue and release one title every month for twenty-four months.
The eighth volume features music from both King of the Monsters games. In the competitive action game King of the Monsters, giant monsters wrestle as they trample through urban areas. Its sequel, King of the Monsters 2, becomes a belt-scrolling action game, staging an enormous battle for Earth between monsters and invading aliens. The music that heightened these spectacular, monster-movie-style battles returns through Clarice Disc in the high-quality sound of new digital recordings.
The collection uses new digital recordings made directly from arcade boards, seeking to present their sound sources with the greatest possible clarity. The recordings contain the sounds present on those boards.
