Sonic Soldier Borgman Series Complete Blu-ray Box

Bring together the Sonic Soldier Borgman saga in a compact collection, from the original 1988 television series to The Borgman: Last Battle, Sonic Soldier Borgman: Lovers Rain and Sonic Soldier Borgman 2: New Century 2058. The programmes have been digitally remastered from the original masters in high-bitrate standard definition, with a long-play presentation designed for watching the series in extended sessions.

In 1999, four meteorites suddenly fall from the sky and destroy Tokyo. By 2030, humanity has built the new scientific metropolis Megalo City beside the ruined capital. Demons led by scientist Gilbert Mesh appear, plotting to use the power of the demon stones to revive their king and conquer the world.

Memory Gene, head of Cysonic Academy, has anticipated the attack. Using the Baltector armour and Sonic System she developed, she begins to fight back. Together with Ryo Hibiki, Chuck Sweager and Anice Farm, she faces the invaders as the battles of the cyborg warriors known as Borgman begin.

The collection also includes the memorial music-video programme MADNIGHT GIGS, previously unavailable on DVD, featuring newly animated scenes set after the television finale. A special booklet contains an interview with director Hiroshi Negishi and animation director Shin Matsuo, alongside a gallery of historical video jackets. Two reduced replica publications reproduce the main character design sheets and corrected key animation originally assembled for the animation staff.
