Spriggan Animation

The legendary manga that swept the 1990s returns more than thirty years later in a vivid adaptation combining traditional animation and 3D computer graphics. Experience an adventure packed with intense action and the mysteries of ancient civilisation, from a series that reached number one in Netflix Japan’s daily programme ranking.

A highly advanced civilisation once existed on Earth. The relics of people whose knowledge and scientific power far exceeded modern humanity’s still lie hidden around the world. Now, as high-speed communication networks span the globe and satellites threaten to uncover every secret, powerful nations send their militaries to intervene in excavations and research, beginning a struggle for these objects and their mysterious powers. One organisation takes seriously an ancient warning inscribed on a plate: protect our legacy from those who would misuse it. Its mission is to seal away the super-ancient civilisation’s remains, and its special operatives are called Spriggans.

This complete-series box contains all six episodes. The slipcase features newly created artwork by JNTHED, while the digipak features new illustrations by Shuhei Handa. A 44-page booklet includes previously unpublished setting materials. Video extras cover the production process, commercials, a special opening sequence and the series’ teaser and promotional videos, including a special video commemorating its first terrestrial television broadcast.
