The manga began serialisation on Shonen Jump+ in March 2019. At the time of this release's announcement, it had exceeded 600 million page views and 35 million copies in circulation across its first thirteen collected volumes.

Opening-day surveys recorded a satisfaction rating of 93.6%, and its combination of action, emotion and comedy made it a talking point across generations and a defining film of winter 2023.

The enemy duo belongs to a special reconnaissance regiment in the military intelligence division and plots to undermine peace between East and West. Their perfectly matched performances bring them face to face with Anya after she eats a chocolate concealing an enormous secret.

At a time when countries around the world wage fierce intelligence wars behind the scenes, Loid Forger, the talented Westalis WISE agent known as Twilight, receives an order while carrying out his usual duties: another agent will take over Operation Strix. Yet the man chosen to replace him is incompetent.

Meanwhile, Eden Academy announces a cooking practical rumoured to award a Stella to the winner. To demonstrate progress in Operation Strix, persuade WISE to let him continue the mission and ultimately protect world peace, Loid suggests that Anya make Meremere, a traditional dessert from the Frigis region and the favourite of the headmaster who will chair the judging panel. The Forgers decide to travel to Frigis as a family to taste the authentic dish.

Before they depart, Yor witnesses an encounter between Loid and a mysterious woman. She begins the trip with a lingering fear about their temporary relationship.

During the journey, Anya discovers a suspicious trunk on the train. For some reason, it contains chocolate. Just as she wonders why, its owner returns, startling her into accidentally swallowing the chocolate. Hidden inside is a secret that could shake the foundations of world peace!

One mishap follows another at their destination. Once again, the fate of the world rests in the hands of this makeshift family.
