Stolen Identity Deluxe Edition Blu-ray + DVD

The one thing that knows everything about you is neither your family nor your lover. It is your smartphone. A social-media mystery that could happen to you: everything in my life is falling apart, just because a smartphone was lost.

Akira Shiga’s debut novel Stolen Identity, published by Takarajimasha Bunko, attracted a rush of film offers as a story that captures the social-media age. Readers called it terrifying and vowed never to lose their phones again. That novel now comes to the screen.

Asami calls her boyfriend Tomita and is left speechless when an unfamiliar man answers his smartphone. The man says he happened to find the lost phone, and Asami is relieved when Tomita gets it back safely. From that day on, however, inexplicable things begin to happen.

She receives credit-card bills she knows nothing about, and a man she only knows through social media begins stalking her online. Has personal information leaked from the lost smartphone? Urano, who works for an internet-security company, sets up security measures for the phone, giving Asami some peace of mind. That night, someone takes over her account and posts photographs she never wanted anyone to see.

At the same time, the bodies of young women are being found one after another in a remote mountain area. Detective Kagaya, who is investigating the case, realises that the killer targets women with long black hair. Who picked up the phone? Who is the real serial killer? And what stolen secret about Asami will finally come to light?

The deluxe edition includes behind-the-scenes footage, event footage, an Ousama no Brunch on-set report, trailers, television spots, and the Himitsu smartphone-and-Polka collaboration version. Additional features include deleted scenes with commentary and an audio commentary. The edition comes in a digipak with an outer case and includes a smartphone-shaped booklet.
