Strike Witches Anime

The decisive battle at last? The witches take to the skies a third time to reclaim Berlin! The long-awaited third television series of the hit magical-girl, mecha and military anime Strike Witches has arrived. This sequel finally depicts the reconquest of Karlsland, continuing the story after the 2012 Strike Witches movie.

Story: Countries across the world formed an allied force to oppose humanity's suddenly appearing enemy, the Neuroi. Only girls possessing special magical powers could stand against them. The allied operation to retake Berlin finally begins, and the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, the Strike Witches, is formed once more. New member Shizuka Hattori joins them as they enter a desperate struggle with the Neuroi. Can they liberate the skies over Berlin? Volume 3 contains Episodes 5 and 6.

Regular extras: textless endings for Episodes 5 and 6, and programme-promotion commercials.

Each volume originally offered special extras including a digipak newly illustrated by Kazuhiro Takamura, a substantial booklet with a new cover illustration by Fumikane Shimada, postcards using Shimada's new eyecatch illustrations, and a special voice CD exploring animation production. This volume's first-production extras were the illustrated digipak; a 100-page WW special booklet; two eyecatch-illustration postcards; and an animation-production behind-the-scenes and research-trip report drama CD, originally planned. These first-press extras have ended and are not guaranteed.
