Studio Chizu Music Journey Vol.1 captures Cinematic Orchestra 2022 live at Tokyo International Forum Hall A on August 14, 2022. Hirofumi Kurita conducts the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra through music from six Mamoru Hosoda films, presented across two Blu-spec CD2 audio discs.
The Boy and the Beast, Wolf Children and Summer Wars fill the first disc, followed by Mirai, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Belle on the second. Masakatsu Takagi plays piano for the Wolf Children selections and three pieces from Mirai, while Ann Sally sings Hoshiboshi no Hara and Okaasan no Uta.
Hanako Oku performs Kawaranai Mono and returns for the encore Garnet. Overture of the Summer Wars joins that closing song as an encore recording, completing the thirty-track concert program.
