Having marked nine years since their July 2003 debut, Sukima Switch entered their tenth-anniversary year in 2012. Their exceptional melodies, Takuya Ohashi's expressive and unmistakable singing, and Shintaro Tokita's finely judged arrangements that cross musical genres had brought the distinctive Sukima sound to listeners of every generation.
To celebrate, the duo recorded their first self-cover best-of album, rearranging and rerecording requests chosen by fans from across their catalogue entirely by themselves.
Every song is remade with a playful spirit: there are performances built around singing and accompaniment, piano duets and four-hand playing, pieces in which the musicians change instruments, and songs using programmed sounds.
