Sheng Yang, a 26-year-old designer at an advertising agency, arrives for a blind date arranged by his mother and is stood up. Instead, he encounters Jian Bing, the advertising director he has admired since boyhood and the person who inspired him to enter the industry. Now 36 and professionally established, Jian Bing is struggling with her unfaithful husband and business partner, Xue Yiming. Having decided to divorce, she is drinking away her unhappiness when Sheng Yang comes to her aid.

Their unexpected reunion becomes a new connection between colleagues at different stages of their careers. Sheng Yang is no longer the boy Jian Bing remembers, and she is no longer the serene older woman of his childhood ideal. As they work and spend time together, his longstanding admiration deepens, while she begins to see him in a different light. Their romance develops alongside questions of age, experience, ambition and the responsibilities of adult life.

Set in Chongqing's advertising industry, the drama gives Sheng Yang an independent outlook, professional pride and strong family ties. Screenwriter Li Xiao approaches the age gap through the couple's growing emotional understanding. Director Song Xiaofei, whose background is in cinematography, places multiple cameras within the sets to help the actors move naturally without constantly performing toward a visible lens.

The workplace is part of the story rather than simply a backdrop. Client meetings, proposals, filming and editing sit alongside the pressure to balance profit with quality and compete for business. Unreasonable client requests, stagnant pay, superiors taking credit and gender discrimination complicate the characters' working lives. Xiao Zhan's own Chongqing roots and design experience inform Sheng Yang's professional manner, including his ease with design software; some of the handwritten illustrations seen in the drama are his work.

Xiao Zhan and Bai Baihe lead the cast, supported by Tian Yu, Zhu Zhu, Yuan Wenkang, Liu Xun, Xiang Hanzhi, Wu Xingjian and Bu Guanjin. Liu Xun plays Song Chen, the lively colleague who becomes Sheng Yang's trusted friend and romantic confidant. Wu Xingjian portrays Hao Junjie, the music student and ice-hockey captain connected to Jian Bing's sister, Jian Shuang. Jian Yuxi appears as the teenage Sheng Yang. Xue Jijun is executive producer, Gong Yu produces, and Li Xiao and Jiang Wuji write the screenplay.

This standard-edition second box contains episodes 15-28 of the 36-episode series across two Blu-rays, with 636 minutes of main content. Chinese Dolby Digital audio and Japanese subtitles are included. The package contains an eight-page booklet and a reversible inner sleeve.
