映画 『太平洋奇跡の作戦 キスカ』
Kiska is in danger! Into the heart of a vast enemy task force! The First Destroyer Squadron undertakes a momentous operation.
In 1943, the garrison on Attu Island in the Aleutians is wiped out. The American forces press their advantage and surround Kiska Island. Persuaded by Vice Admiral Kawashima, commander-in-chief of the Fifth Fleet, Imperial Headquarters decides to rescue the island’s 5,200-man garrison. Kawashima summons Rear Admiral Omura, his classmate at the naval academy, to command the First Destroyer Squadron that will carry out the mission.
Based on the Japanese Navy’s withdrawal from Kiska Island, this imposing war epic centres on the courageous and audacious commander who led the operation.
