A devoted Pokemon fan who previously supplied both opening and ending themes for Pokemon Sun & Moon, Taiiku Okazaki produces songs for an animated feature film for the first time. Pokemon the Movie: Coco, the twenty-third Pokemon film, also marks the series’ first winter cinema release.

Okazaki produces all six songs used in the film, including its main theme. Having several songs by one artist appear in a single Pokemon film is another first for the series. For some of his new compositions, he invites guest singers whose voices he feels suit the scenes, alongside songs he performs himself. Tortoise Matsumoto of Ulfuls joins him for the main theme Fushigi na Fushigi na Ikimono.

The album also adds four themes he created for the Pokemon Sun & Moon television anime. Kimi no Boken and Kokoro no Note make their first appearance on CD.
