Technosoft Music Collection: THUNDER FORCE I & II revives the series in fresh 2022 recordings as the fourth Technosoft soundtrack release. Thunder Force and the original Thunder Force II make their first appearances on CD, alongside Thunder Force II MD.

The two-disc collection covers Thunder Force for X1 and PC-8801mkIISR (1983), Thunder Force II for X68000 (1988) and its Mega Drive adaptation, Thunder Force II MD (1989). Their enduring background music was newly recorded digitally from the original computers and Mega Drive hardware, with only disc one's first track recorded in analog.

A highlight is disc two's Thunder Force II -Super Arr Ver.- by celebrated arranger Kei Takanishi, inviting listeners on a retro-futuristic journey where past and present intersect.

The booklet includes comments from former Technosoft development chief Naosuke Arai, Takanishi and others. Experience the beginning of the battle between the Galactic Federation and the Orn Empire through these latest recordings, presented in the SOUND! SHOCK SERIES.
