Tengu Kitchen Season 2 Blu-ray Box

The story that follows the first season of Tengu Kitchen, broadcast in 2023, arrives on home video. This gentle drama depicts the slow life of Motoi Iizuna, who lives in an old house far from town, his childhood friend Yui Atago, and Motoi’s younger brother On. Familiar faces are joined by Yui’s older brother Jiu and Soma, a boy around On’s age whom he meets in the tengu village.

After spending his secluded fourteenth year with Motoi, On returns to New York but cannot forget the calm, carefully lived days in the village. One day, worn down by the hurried and detached life of the city, he has a huge argument with his mother Ichino. Without thinking ahead, he runs away from home and returns to the village where Motoi lives.

Delighted to see each other again, the brothers cook together just as they did at that time a year earlier. Then it emerges that On used Ichino’s credit card without permission to make the journey, and the card is subsequently blocked. Motoi suggests that they save the money for On’s ticket back to New York together. With Yui regularly visiting the hermitage, life for the three begins to move forward once again.

The release accompanies the drama with a pre-broadcast special, the production press announcement and trailers, together with a special booklet filled with rare photographs. The programme was originally broadcast on BS-TBS in autumn 2024.
