THE ALFEE revisits 1986-1991 in a chronological portrait drawn from live performances, backstage and behind-the-scenes footage, video programmes, television commercials and music clips. Originally released in 1992, HISTORY II brings together the band's public stage and the quieter moments around it.
A Prologue opens the programme, followed by Commercial Clip Special 1986-1991 and the 1986 chapter. The two 1987 scenes are separated by an Intermezzo, with another Intermezzo leading into Edit from 1988 scene I. Further intermezzos introduce 1988 scene II and scene III. The two 1989 scenes likewise unfold around an Intermezzo, followed by another before the 1990 and 1991 chapters. Count Down (Special 1990-1991), Christmas Special 1989-1991 and an Epilogue complete the historical sequence. Special Interview II features Konosuke Sakazaki.
For this digital restoration, Coupe's FORS technology converted the original standard-definition footage to 59.94p for 4K remastering. The disc carries the resulting HD 29.97i presentation, with noise from the original master repaired wherever possible. The accompanying booklet reproduces the booklet issued with the original DVD.
