THE ALFEE traces its 1992-1997 years through concert scenes, backstage and behind-the-scenes footage, rare material from video programmes, television commercials and music videos. Originally released in 1997, HISTORY III captures the working life and changing sound of the group during this six-year period.
The programme begins with 1992 scene I and scene II, followed by the music clip for "Love Never Dies." Two scenes from 1993 lead into "Mada Minu Kimi e no Ai no Uta." The 1994 sequence unfolds through scene I, Intermezzo I, scene II and scene III before the video for "Shiawase no Katachi -Send My Heart-." Two scenes from 1995 are followed by "Kodoku no Kage" and Intermezzo II. The final stretch brings together 1996 scene I and scene II, the "Love" music clip, 1997 scene I, and Special Interview III featuring Masaru Sakurai.
Coupe's FORS process was used to convert the standard-definition footage to 59.94p for 4K remastering. The Blu-ray presents an HD 29.97i version generated from that restored master, with original-master noise repaired wherever possible. A reproduction of the original DVD booklet accompanies the disc.
