The Art of Overwatch explores the visual development of Blizzard Entertainment's team-based action game, from its futuristic Earth setting to heroes defined by their different abilities. Produced with the developer's full cooperation, the collection pairs previously unpublished illustrations and game-design material with accounts of how the characters were created.

Explanations accompanying the artwork connect the finished visuals with the ideas behind them. The game comes from the studio responsible for Warcraft and Diablo, and the book turns that focus on worldbuilding toward Overwatch's own cast and environments.

This Japanese-language edition is translated by Takeshi Ehara, with translation supervision by Yuki Nishio, Overwatch's localisation director at Square Enix. Published by Seibundo Shinkosha under its G-NOVELS label, the A4 artbook contains 368 pages.
