The Blue Wolves of Mibu VAP Anime Music

At the end of the Tokugawa era, young men gather in a Kyoto shaken by unrest. Known as the Miburo, the Mibu Roshigumi will later become the Shinsengumi, risking their lives to protect peace in the city. With the kindhearted boy Nio among them, their bonds grow stronger through days of battle.

Nio argues that protecting Kyoto means giving up their present security and moving forward. His words inspire the Miburo to recruit new members and expand the organisation. Yet the presence of chief commander Kamo Serizawa threatens to tear the group apart. As irreconcilable visions of justice collide, a tragic assassination begins to take shape. This original soundtrack accompanies The Blue Wolves of Mibu: Serizawa Assassination Arc.

Born in Kyoto in 1980, composer Yuki Hayashi was formerly a men's rhythmic gymnast. Selecting music for his routines drew him towards accompaniment, and he began teaching himself composition while at university despite having no previous musical training. After graduation he studied the foundations of track production with hideo kobayashi and began creating music for competitive dance. Bringing together a wide range of genres with his experience as a performer, he developed a style focused on the relationship between music and moving images. He also produces Kyobansai, a festival bringing anime and soundtracks together.
