The Case Book of Arne Animation

A vampire and a young woman—who are they really? Another bizarre incident confronts these two partners, each with secrets of their own.

The anime adapts the full-fledged mystery game by the game-creation team HaruMurasaki, released episodically on Game Magazine from November 2017. In Lügenberg, a city inhabited by beings other than humans, the legendary vampire Arne Neuntöte works as a detective. His partner, Lynn Reinweiß, is the daughter of a distinguished noble family with an unusual passion: she is a vampire enthusiast. This mismatched duo investigates one strange case after another in a blend of intricate mystery and gothic fantasy.

Arne commands supernatural powers. Lynn is a noblewoman fascinated by vampires. Their worlds should never have crossed, yet they join forces to solve bloodstained mysteries. Tonight, another murder awaits them. What truth lies behind these bizarre incidents in a world where the laws of humanity and the supernatural collide?

Volume one contains episodes one through four. It includes a three-sided slipcase newly illustrated by original character designer Harutaro and an inner case newly illustrated by character designer and chief animation director Akiko Sato. The special booklet features anime production designs and a discussion between original character designer Harutaro, series composer Murasaki and Asmik Ace producer Arita. A collection of creditless opening sequences is also included.
