Suzume works as a maid in an English country house until an unexpected event leads her to begin a new life in a small apartment in Japan. Living alone there for the first time brings plenty of worries, but she is fascinated by Japanese food. As she briskly heads out of her apartment, she encounters all kinds of dishes and people. Her everyday adventures celebrate the simple joy of watching someone eat.

The slipcase features new illustrations by original creator Susumu Maeya on both its front and back. Two original-art postcards, three stickers and a thirty-two-page special booklet accompany the disc. The booklet includes an eight-page newly drawn manga by Maeya.
