The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife, the television anime that began airing in January 2026, arrives on Blu-ray. Akira Tounome is a gentlemanly invisible man who runs a detective agency. Shizuka Yako is the gentle, easygoing human woman who works there. Even when Akira disappears from sight, Shizuka, who is blind, can mysteriously tell exactly where he is. Before long, these two people who cannot see one another begin to fall for each other. A heartwarming romantic comedy filled with the delicious suspense of a slowly developing romance, pairing an invisible nonhuman gentleman with a gentle woman who cannot see.

Shizuka meets Yu, a boy who is part ogre and part human and is troubled by his inability to control his strength. Later, Yu comes to the detective agency to conduct an interview about their profession for a school assignment. His curiosity takes him to the scene of a crime, where he runs straight into dangerous criminals…

Shizuka cannot hide her anxiety as their plans to live together show little sign of progressing. Her heart races when Akira invites her on their first overnight date. But visiting his room leads her to imagine his past relationships with other women, leaving her full of uneasy feelings. Later, determined to find a way forward, she asks Kikira for advice…

While out driving, Akira and Shizuka discover a hot-spring town and take their first trip away alone together. As they stroll through the town, however, they encounter a disturbance involving a ghost. They end up accepting a private investigation in exchange for a place to stay. In time, an unexpected clue leads the case toward its resolution…

With their move in together finally approaching, the couple visits Shizuka’s family home to tell them the news. Her mother Yukari is enthusiastic about the arrangement, and her father Kaoru welcomes Akira despite his brusque manner. Her younger brother Futa, however, had not heard about the plans from his sister and seems to be struggling with complicated feelings…

After greeting Shizuka’s family, the two next visit the village of invisible people. By a local custom that operates like an exception to the outside world’s rules, residents may walk around completely transparent. Shizuka remains entirely unfazed. She grows close to Akira’s family and to Kurogiri, who knew him as a child.

With everything in place for them to live together, Akira and Shizuka steadily prepare for their move. At that moment, a new life is born to Light, a white elf, and Karma, a dark elf. But Karma’s anxiety leaves her unable to control the curse leaking out of her…
