The King of Braves GaoGaiGar 20th Anniversary Illustration Works revisits the heroes and robots of Sunrise's eighth Brave series, which originally aired in 1997-1998. Produced with the studio's cooperation, the collection brings together official illustrations created for GaoGaiGar in large layouts that give both the character portraits and the powerful Brave robots room to be seen in detail.
Takahiro Kimura, also known for character-design work on Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Dirty Pair Flash, is among the contributing animators. A special section at the end includes illustrations from Betterman, the series that shares GaoGaiGar's fictional world.
The book is by GA Graphic, an editorial team whose work brings together specialists in illustration, 3D graphics, models and writing. Supervised by Sunrise and published by SB Creative, this Japanese-language collection contains 192 pages.
