The New Gate Blu-ray Box

In a game world that has become reality, its strongest young player is about to create a new legend. Shinogi Kazanami’s fantasy novel The New Gate receives its eagerly awaited animated adaptation. By March 2024, the series had passed 2.7 million copies in circulation. The cast includes Kensho Ono, Asami Seto and other popular performers, while the ending theme is sung by Miho Okasaki, known from the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.

The online game The New Gate once bustled with players, until its virtual world suddenly changed, trapping its inhabitants inside and making them suffer. Determined to end their ordeal, Shin—the game’s strongest player—confronts Origin, the greatest enemy standing in his way. After a desperate battle, Shin’s sword pierces Origin, and an announcement declares the game cleared and the captive players free.

As everyone logs out, Shin prepares to say goodbye to the world he knows. At that very moment, another door opens. Light envelops him, revealing The New Gate’s world five hundred years after the game was cleared. In this game world transformed into reality, Shin’s new legend begins.

A new illustration by manga artist Yoshiyuki Miwa decorates the box, while a special thirty-two-page booklet includes a newly written story by Shinogi Kazanami and a newly drawn comic by Miwa.
