Following its live-action film adaptation, Tomoko Yamashita’s bestselling manga comes to television animation. The release’s original introduction reported more than two million copies in circulation.

Volume 4 contains episodes 10–12 and the creditless ending from episode 12. Its special booklet includes staff and cast interviews, along with rough manga storyboards that Yamashita provided for the anime. First-production copies may include a reproduced bromide made from her original line art, with a different design for each volume. A three-sided case newly illustrated by character designer Yoshitaka Yasuda may also accompany the edition, subject to the production specification supplied.
