ベルヴィル・ランデブー
Even a crisis is no trouble when you have love.
In France shortly after the war, a grandmother buys a tricycle for her shy grandson Champion, who has no friends. He becomes absorbed in cycling and trains hard day after day under his grandmother's guidance, until he finally takes part in the Tour de France, the world's greatest cycling competition.
During the race, however, Champion is kidnapped by a mysterious mafia. To rescue her beloved grandson, his grandmother crosses the sea with her dog Bruno and reaches Belleville, a vast city of towering skyscrapers. Together with three cheerful elderly triplets they meet by chance, they begin a strange and wonderful adventure.
The voice cast includes Jean-Claude Donda, Michel Robin and Monica Viegas. The 80-minute film is presented with French audio and Japanese subtitles. A theatrical trailer is included, and the disc has a picture-disc design.
