Ultraman Nippon Columbia Anime Music

Ultraman Joneus, warrior of U40! This fortieth-anniversary collection celebrates the music of The Ultraman, the franchise’s first animated television series and its first series to receive albums of theme songs, insert songs and suite-style soundtrack music during its original run. It is a musical treasure chest for the fans who have supported the programme for forty years and for a new generation discovering it.

The hit-song collection includes opening and ending themes with lyrics by Yu Aku, the hitmaker whose memorable phrases also shaped the themes of Ultraman Taro and Ultraman Leo. The musical archives bring together Kunio Miyauchi’s suite and Toru Fuyuki’s symphonic poem, reflecting their different approaches to the world of Joneus.
