J-Pop Ariola Japan Rock

Nine years after the band’s breakup, interest in THE YELLOW MONKEY remained strong in 2013. The documentary Pandora: The Yellow Monkey PUNCH DRUNKARD TOUR THE MOVIE opened on September 28, while July’s fan-selected compilation Iemon debuted at number two on Oricon’s weekly chart.

This retrospective revisits SICKS, Punch Drunkard, 8, the live album SO ALIVE, and the compilations GOLDEN YEARS Singles and MOTHER OF ALL THE BEST. It closes the twentieth-anniversary period that began the previous year, returning the band’s catalogue to listeners in newly remastered form.
